Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi & Sightseeing
Delhi, the vibrant capital city that skilfully combines old heritage with contemporary living, is where your tour starts. You will be welcomed and taken to your hotel upon arrival. It's time to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the city after a brief refresher. India Gate, a military memorial that stands prominently in the center of the city, is a good place to start. After that, visit Rashtrapati Bhavan, often known as the President's House, to see some colonial-era architecture. The atmosphere drastically changes when you enter Old Delhi. A memorable sensory experience is created by the smells of street cuisine, colourful stores, and narrow streets. One of the biggest mosques in India, Jama Masjid, is a feature here. A rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, a bustling yet endearing marketplace that transports you to a different period, is another option. You return to your hotel in the evening with your initial impressions of India, which are vibrant, boisterous, and utterly enthralling.
Day 2: Delhi to Agra
You visit Agra, a city known for its magnificent architecture and love, on the second day. It takes about three to four hours and is a smooth drive. Naturally, the Taj Mahal is the main draw. As soon as you stand in front of it, you understand why it is regarded as one of the world's most exquisite structures. Photographs just can't adequately depict the enchanting appearance of the white marble building changing colour in response to sunshine. After that, you go to the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the Mughal rulers' primary residence. A complex of palaces, courtyards, and mosques that depict tales of power and intrigue are concealed behind its enormous red sandstone walls. You can unwind at your accommodation or visit nearby markets in the evening. Agra is a great spot to relax after a day of exploring because it moves more slowly than Delhi.
Day 3: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
On day three, you enjoy a picturesque trip to Jaipur, stopping at the intriguing Fatehpur Sikri. Built by Emperor Akbar, this deserted city resembles a flawlessly preserved snapshot of the past. You can practically hear remnants of centuries-old royal life as you stroll through its courtyards and palaces. You continue travelling till you reach Jaipur, also referred to as the Pink City. The city is instantly distinguished by its regal atmosphere and warm-colored buildings. You can visit neighbourhood bazaars in the evening that are stocked with jewellery, textiles, and handicrafts. Jaipur is a shopping haven; perusing these lively marketplaces is an experience in and of itself, even if you're not making a purchase.
Day 4: Jaipur to Jodhpur
Travelling to Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan, on the fourth day is all about making the shift from royal elegance to desert charm. The trip is more time-consuming but very beautiful, with views of rural India and shifting scenery. The sea of blue buildings that sprawl beneath the massive Mehrangarh Fort will be the first thing you see when you arrive. Offering expansive views of the city, this fort is among the biggest in India. Additionally, you can tour the busy local markets close to the Clock Tower and visit Jaswant Thada, a stunning marble cenotaph. Compared to Jaipur, Jodhpur is more laid back, allowing you to take your time taking in the ambience.
Day 5: Jodhpur Exploration & Departure
Spend some time thoroughly exploring Jodhpur on your last day. Take a close look at Mehrangarh Fort; it's more than just a fort; it's a museum with royal weapons, artwork, and artefacts. Explore the old city's winding streets, engage with the residents, and perhaps have a traditional Rajasthani lunch. Jodhpur has a very genuine quality that makes an impression. Your excursion will come to a close with a transfer to the airport or train station for your next destination, depending on your travel arrangements.
